Fear, and how to overcome it
Saturday. 10.14.06 10:28 am
Whattup everyone, well as usual I like to think and share with you my thoughts, so here I go again with my hypothesis.

I've found myself thinking alot on the subject of fear again, and it's control over people who allow it to rule their lives. Prejudice, ignorance, vanity, and all other fallacies of the human condition I believe have their root in fear. I was thinking about this today because a friend of mine came over and we read each other's cards and in both of our readings, fear was a large part of the problem in both of our lives. For my friend, it was the fear to completely commit and expose oneself to another. Of course this is a well founded fear...Who isn't afraid to completely commit? But at the same time it's a necessary evil in that only through complete exposure can complete comfort be achieved. In other words, if you show no one your heart, no one will ever see it. In my case, it was the fear of loss. Which makes sense, because those of you who know me very well know that loss is something i've dealt with for a long time in my life. It's because of this that I tend to be overbearing and or short with people (anyone notice i'm a bit of a smartass?). I relate it to the psalm, "One can hold more sand in their cupped loose palm than they can holding it tightly and letting the sand slip through their fingers." This is a characteristic of myself I'm quite aware of and have been working on for a time now.

So now to the point on my blog. At any point in our lives, there is a fear or barrier that is keeping us from being happy. Once one barrier is broken, one is sure to come along our paths again. Our truest lives are found when we continue to climb and break through these fears we come in contact with. Life is growth, and growth is blossoming. We all eventually parish, but why go out as a dull undeveloped flower? Shakespeare said that all the world's a stage, and everyone merely playing a role. If that is true, than be a dynamic character. Be someone YOU would want to read about, and make your own happy ending. You're the author.....isn't that grand?
